Beyond our local area, we ship across Canada using a network of trusted carriers. From Hamilton, we deliver everything from small accessories to large freight items nationwide — whether you’re grilling in the GTA, outfitting a cottage in Muskoka, or getting ready for patio season out west. Wherever you are, we’ll make sure your order arrives safely, efficiently, and with care.

Free local driveway delivery starts at $899!
We offer no-charge local driveway delivery on orders over $899+ within 35 km of our store (Hamilton, ON — L8V 1V4).
Important details:
- Delivery is driveway / curbside only unless otherwise arranged
- Exclusions may apply for oversized, fragile, or extremely heavy items
- No-charge delivery cannot be combined with other promotional discounts
- Assembly services do not count toward free delivery thresholds
Free Driveway Delivery Beyond Local Area, starting at orders over $2000
For delivery addresses outside our local area, orders qualify for no-charge driveway delivery starting at $2000+, based on the delivery address and shipment requirements.

Shipping Charges (Includes Packaging & Insurance)
If your order does not qualify for no-charge delivery, shipping is calculated based on:
- Item weight and dimensions
- Delivery address
- Carrier requirements / freight classification
Shipping charges appear at checkout whenever available. Additional charges may apply for remote locations, ferry access, rural postal codes, or other special delivery requirements. If extra fees apply, we will contact you before shipping and you may choose to accept or cancel the order.
Shipping Methods & Carriers
We select the shipping method that best balances cost, safety, and delivery success.
Small Packages
Smaller items (accessories, parts, tools, etc.) ship via carriers such as Purolator, Canpar, UPS, FedEx, Canada Post, or other courier partners depending on destination.
To reduce loss and ensure safe delivery, packages may ship with signature required, unless otherwise specified.
Charcoal / wood products: Due to weight, an additional shipping fee of $20 per bag may apply.
Large Items (Freight / Oversized)
Orders containing large items (e.g., BBQs, fireplaces, patio heaters, etc.) ship by freight and are delivered as driveway / curbside shipments unless otherwise stated — including orders with free shipping.
Freight deliveries typically include:
- Lift-gate (tailgate) service
- Curbside (driveway) drop-off
- Call-ahead appointment scheduling
- Adult signature required
Chadwicks & Hacks reserves the right to select the freight carrier. Once a shipment is in the carrier’s possession, we cannot guarantee specific delivery dates or times.
If you authorize a freight carrier to leave an order without a signature, Chadwicks & Hacks is not responsible for damage or loss.
What to Expect When You Order
- In-stock items typically arrive in 2–12 business days
- Tracking is provided by email once your order ships
- Freight carriers will contact you to schedule delivery once your shipment reaches the local terminal
- Some orders may ship in multiple packages or deliveries
- If an item is backordered or delayed, we will contact you as soon as possible
Address Accuracy & Missed Deliveries
Please double-check your shipping address and phone number at checkout and on your order confirmation email.
Customers may be responsible for fees related to:
- Incorrect or incomplete address information
- Inaccessible delivery locations (e.g., narrow roads, gravel roads, seasonal roads)
- Missed freight delivery appointments
- Returned or refused shipments
Returned shipments may be treated as returns and may incur return freight, re-shipping, or restocking fees.
Remote / Rural Delivery & Special Locations
We always do our best to ensure that any additional charges are as fair as possible. Remote or hard-to-reach areas may incur additional shipping fees (including orders that otherwise qualify for free delivery). These may include locations such as:
- Remote islands
- Cottages or lake homes
- Ferry or sea-lift access areas
- Rural or northern regions (e.g. Yukon, NWT, Nunavut)
- Seasonal roads or limited-access delivery routes

Carrier Limitations & Disclaimers
- Estimated delivery times are not guaranteed
- Orders may ship from multiple locations and arrive separately
- Chadwicks & Hacks is not responsible for delays due to weather, strikes, disasters, service interruptions, or other force majeure events
- Weekend delivery or delivery at specific dates/times cannot be guaranteed
- In-home, upstairs, or rooftop delivery is not included unless purchased in advance and confirmed by our team
Orders From Customers From the United States (Currently Suspended)
Import taxes, duties and/or tariffs may apply per Section 301. Any duties, tariffs, taxes, or other import fees are responsibility of the buyer.
As of March 4, 2025, we have temporarily suspended shipping to the USA due to the rapidly changing landscape of tariffs and duties on Canadian goods. We understand this may be disappointing and apologize for any inconvenience. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates if anything changes.
Delivery Inspection & Damage Claims
Over 99.99% of deliveries arrive without damage. For your protection, please inspect your shipment before signing, especially for freight deliveries.
Before signing, please:
- Inspect packaging for dents, tears, punctures, or crushing
- Open damaged boxes and inspect contents (if possible)
- Photograph any visible damage
- Write “Damaged” on the delivery receipt if any damage is present
Important: By signing your delivery receipt without documenting any damages legally means that you have accepted the freight in good condition.
Reporting damage
- Call 1-800-310-9831 within 3 business days to report damage
- If a driver will not allow inspection or will not allow you to note damage, call us immediately. If you cannot reach us, refuse the shipment to protect your claim.
If you authorize delivery without a signature, Chadwicks & Hacks cannot be held liable for damages or missing items.
